Students will learn the basic techniques of rapid fabrication in different Midjourney models and understand the differences between each by exploring various concepts related to architectural elements.

Conceptual AI architecture:

Artificial intelligence is not new to our lives; its existence has surrounded us for a while. And now that he is knocking on the doors of the creative process, it is of the utmost importance to understand the true powers (and limits) of these tools as they become to shape our careers as architects and designers. And while current diffusion patterns can’t yet break through the wall of physical reality, they surely shake the foundations of everything we know about creativity and inspiration.

Studio’s goal:

In “AI Conceptual Architecture”, participants can expect to learn the basics of working with different Ai text-image tools in creating conceptual works using architectural elements with a focus on Midjourney and briefly discussing other platforms like Dall-E2 and DreamStudioAI. Participants should learn the basic techniques of rapid crafting in different Midjourney models and understand the differences between each by exploring various concepts related to architectural elements. To conclude the workshop, some works of participants will be selected for discussion/development.

Program:

1st day – December 17
1 hour – introduction to working with AI and different AI tools
1 hour – Quick build using different Midjourney templates
1 hour – break and homework
1 hour – work review and discussion

2nd day – December 18
0.5 hours – Example of mid-term development
0.5 hours – using inpainting/outpainting in Dalle2 and DreamstudioAi
1 hour – group work/concept development
1h30 – project development and discussions
0.5 – conclusion and final questions

Midjourney (standard subscription required)
Slab2 (recommended)
DreamStudioAi (recommended)

IMPORTANT Notes:

The AI Conceptual Architecture Studio by PAACADEMY will start on Saturday, December 17 at 21:00 (GMT).
Total number of sessions: 2 sessions
The teaching time per session will be approximately 4 hours.
Students will have time to take a break between class hours.
Each session and the entire studio will be recorded, and videos will be available to attendees just one day after class for an unlimited duration.
PAACADEMY will provide a certificate of participation.
No prior knowledge of any software is required. You will learn everything in the workshop.

Instructor:

Hassan Ragab

Hassan is an Egyptian designer with a background in architecture living in Southern California. His experiences vary between exhibition design, product design, furniture design and textile design. Hassan’s work is best associated with computation, experimentation and digital fabrication. Currently, Hassan provides computer design solutions in the AEC industry for an architectural mega project in downtown Los Angeles.
